Job Description

Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for Primary Care in East Hanover

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary care and a commitment to delivering compassionate care to patients. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examination, well woman health assessments, etc.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Prescribe appropriate medication
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health issues and preventive care
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Close all charts, finish all notes, and follow up with all results in a timely manner
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other practice activities
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Adhere to evidenced based and best practice guidelines
  • Maintain and participate in all patient centered medical home standards and requirements
  • Maintain the highest professional standards in a manner consistent with current office policy
  • Follow all current office policies and procedures

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
  • Experience in a primary care setting preferred
  • EPIC experience preferred
  • ACLS and BLS required
  • Must have excellent communication and computer skills
  • Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
