Associate Director of Eastern Region for Critical Care

Inova is looking for an Associate Director of the Eastern Region for Critical care to join our collaborative, high performing team of over 30 physicians and 70 advanced practice providers, who care for the most acutely ill patients in the Eastern Region Inova Hospitals.

The Eastern Region currently is composed of Inova Alexandria, a 318-bed community hospital that was ranked #7 Hospital in DC and Virginia, and the #13 Best Hospital in the state of Virginia, and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, which is home to the nationally recognized Inova Joint Replacement Center and Inova Rehabilitation Center.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead in a style that encompasses the Inova Values.
• In collaboration with the Division Chief of Critical Care, design and implement the vision for the Medical Critical Care Service for the system.
• Provide leadership oversight for all employed critical care physicians, employed critical care Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the Eastern Region
• Leads the alignment and development, championing, and metrics analysis for all clinical critical care quality initiatives
• Standardization and alignment of critical care delivery and severity-adjusted outcomes across all critical care and intermediate care units in the system.
• Development of programs and services in partnership with the Medicine Service Line nursing, administrative, and medical leadership teams, hospital CMOs, and other Service Line Leaders
• Involvement with all strategic decision-making within the Critical Care Division.
• Any other defined role per Inova Medicine Service Line leadership direction.

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine in good standing
• Completed ACGME residency training and subsequent fellowship with ABMS board certification in critical care (and neuro-critical care for our neuro-intensive care unit)
• Prior CICU experience and NSICU experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience as an attending physician, preferably prior leadership experience
• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at all Inova Hospitals
