Job Description Summary
The Academic Faculty position provides an exciting opportunity to interact and teach osteopathic medical students through all four years in Clinical Skills and OPP Labs. Additionally, they will interface frequently with the Course Directors and provide lectures in different aspects of clinical medicine. Although this is primarily an academic position, some opportunity for clinical work can be available at one of our affiliated clinics. Appointment and rank is commensurate with experience.
Job Description
As academic faculty in family medicine or internal medicine, you will serve as an integral member of the Clinical Sciences division.
In the classroom and labs, you will actively participate in educating first- and second-year students in primary clinical skills through standardized patient encounters and hands-on skills exercises.
You will collaborate with other faculty in systems-based curricular courses, with additional teaching opportunities based on your areas of interest and expertise.
ACOM supports its faculty in scholarly activity through professional development and opportunities for research collaboration.
Minimum Experience Required

D.O. or M.D. degree Board certification by the appropriate AOA or ABMS specialty board Eligibility for licensure in Alabama Teaching experience in OPP is preferred
