PRIMARY CARE RESEARCH FELLOW:
Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine are recruiting physicians and other doctoral level aspiring clinical researchers for a HRSA-funded T32 Primary Care Research Fellowship: Addressing Community Health Needs, Eliminating Disparities. The position starts July 1, 2023.
Eligible candidates for this research fellowship must have an MD, DO, PhD or other equivalent doctoral degree and plan to become independent primary care researchers.
During the fellowship, fellows' research can span primary care-relevant topics, with primary focus on substance use, mental health, and related disorders, and health disparities. Fellows participate in an actively mentored, individualized training program involving coursework, interactive seminars, and hands-on research experience, with an interdisciplinary, team-oriented approach toward translational science. This is a 1.0 FTE appointment; however, clinician-fellows may supplement research activity with clinical work.
Fellowship faculty are experienced mentors and successful researchers with mature portfolios from across Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health. Candidates with a background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics are strongly encouraged to apply.
