Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest integrated health care systems, is seeking a PT Nurse Practitioner to join the Development Disability Center at Morristown Medical Center. The candidate will work alongside a collaborating psychiatrist and participate on an interdisciplinary treatment team. The Development Disability Center team is made up of board-certified internal medicine physicians and nurse practitioners who collaborate with the psychiatric team to provide integrated primary care and behavioral health services.
Responsibilities
This role is for a psych certified advanced nurse practitioner who will evaluate and treat adult individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Located in a beautiful suburban town with great schools and a charming downtown that is only a short drive to NYC or the famous Jersey shore.
Qualifications
- Master's degree required
- BLS required
- NP License in NJ required
- Psych NP Certification required
- 1-3 years of prior experience strongly preferred
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
- Interest in working with this clinical profile is needed
