Saint Alphonsus Medical Group and Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology Oncology physician to join a practice located in Boise, Idaho.
Become part of a physician led 500+ provider multispecialty group with a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. Anchored with locations in Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, and Ontario, and telemedicine opportunities through the region, this full-spectrum practice is QOPI certified and CoC accredited, offering rewarding opportunities including over 100 clinical trials. The integrated program also has leading surgical expertise with the States only fellowship-trained surgical oncologist, along with other highly specialized, fellowship-trained physicians to support a growing program.
Join eight other hematology/oncologists in bringing cutting edge treatments to the Treasure Valley through our advanced clinical trials program and robust surgical oncology team. This opportunity will primarily be located on the Boise campus plus one day of outreach at a satellite clinic.
The schedule for this full-time opportunity is a four-day work week, Monday - Friday, with a minimum of 32 hours of patient contact time which includes clinic, treatments, and rounding as needed. Call is 1:9, shared equitably on evenings and weekends. The inpatient unit is covered by an oncology hospitalist Monday through Friday 8-5.
Full-service cancer center with medical, radiation, and surgical oncology offers integrative care team support with nurse navigators, social work support, genetics counseling, and nutritionist. Dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Weekly tumor boards provide opportunity to collaborate with our fellowship trained surgeons in breast, plastic/reconstruction, GYN oncology, colorectal, neurosurgery, thoracic and esophageal. Innovative programs include lung cancer screening, lung nodule clinic, neuro oncology, and robust clinical trials through the Montana Cancer Consortium. Primary care providers in key geographic locations throughout the Treasure Valley, support the specialists.
Requirements for this opportunity include: a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and a Hematology Oncology fellowship; Board Certification in Internal Medicine, as well as Hematology Oncology - or obtain such certification within three years of employment; obtain Oregon and Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC - Nampa, SARMC - Boise and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
