JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing non-emergent primary medical care at one or more designated community facility(s). Ensures organizational compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.. The clinician would be treating patients 16 years and older, and should feel comfortable with the following primary care modalities: 1. gynecologic exams, 2. STD screening and treatment, collaborating with psychiatrist in treating patients with substance abuse and psychologic issues, removal of foreign bodies, and toenail removal.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: MD/DO required. Hold a valid Texas license to practice medicine and be registered as a physician in the State of Texas. Board Certified or eligible Family/General Practice or Internal Medicine for initial employment. Board certification is strongly recommended within 2 years of hire date. Must meet credentialing criteria.
Work Experience (Years and Area): Minimum of 2 years direct patient care experience. Minimum of 1 years work experience preferably in a community health environment. Prior work experience in residential or correctional health environment would be highly recommended.

Request for leave must be submitted sixty (60) days in advance for approval to enable arrangements of schedule. CME consists of five (5) business days per year. Notice must be given sixty (60) days in advance in order to make arrangements for coverage of services.
Provide on-site services 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
Provide on-call services before and after business hours on weekdays and weekends
